Dear Parents,

Happy third week of Advent to you and your families.

Our Christmas Program is tonight at 7:00 in the PFC.  Students are asked to be in their classrooms tonight at 6:30 pm in order to put their costumes on and get prepared.  Just drop them off, and go get a good seat, and get ready to enjoy.

The presents for our needy Christmas families are due, wrapped, tomorrow morning.  Tonight would be a good time to bring them if they're ready.

Student Council is sponsoring Pajama Day tomorrow for $1.00.  No need to worry about uniforms!

TUITION DAY IS THURSDAY!  Just five more months to go.  Thursday's dismissal will be at 12:00 noon.  No after care.  On behalf of the staff of St. Joseph School, we want to wish you all a very Merry and Holy Christmas and a very blessed New Year.

See you back here at the old corral on Thursday, January , 2008.

Ms. Volker

NOTE:  After the Program Tonight ...

All students, grades 1 - 8, need to go back to their classrooms immediately after the program to return costumes.

Pick up your darlings outside the classroom.

Mystery Scrip?

We have some scrip for a "T. Blankenship" that has been here since November.  Who brought it in?  Please let us know!

Helpers Are Needed!

Mothers and Fathers are needed to help stack chairs in the PFC on Wednesday morning, beginning at 9:00 am.  Mr. Paul, our Parish Facility Manager, will be available to assist.  At the same time, tables and chairs will be set up for the Thursday morning school Christmas parties.  Please donate 30 minutes of your time Wednesday morning.  If you have any questions, please call Maribeth May at 972-937-7557.

Classroom Christmas Parties

Our classroom parties will be this Thursday, December 20th, from 10:15 - 11:30 am in the PFC.  The PFC will be open for Room Coordinators and helpers directly following our 8:00 am school Mass.  Following the parties, the students will go back to their classrooms with their teachers until dismissal.  Parents will have time to clean up the PFC, and be ready to dismiss at 12:00 noon.  For any questions, please call Maribeth May.

News from the Lunch Room

Thank you so much for your help in making the school Hot Lunch Program a huge success!  The children seem to be enjoying the lunches, as well as the ice cream on Mondays and Thursdays.!

A note on payments:  It would be great if cards were purchased for lunch, drinks and ice cream.  It is a very effective way of keeping track of student accounts.  Lunch cards are much preferred over sending cash.  I've had students toss money in the lunch payment box with no name included.  Yikes!  If you prefer to send cash, please ensure that the DATE, the STUDENT'S NAME and the AMOUNT enclosed (the exact amount, whenever possible) are included on an envelope with the money, before placing it in the payment box.  This will ensure that each student receives what he/she has paid for.  Thanks for your help with this.  (Note: Older students may continue to bring cash for ice cream or drinks at the time of purchase.)

It has been my pleasure seeing your kiddos' smiling faces every day in the lunch room.

Thanks again,

Ms. Jill ("Lunch Lady")
