Dear Parents,

I neglected last week to thank all the parents who helped to make the Christmas party for the students so successful.  Having it in the PFC was a tremendous help also.  Thanks for all you did and for being there to set it up and clean up.  We have the best parents!!  I also want to thank all the parents who thought of gift-giving to the staff for Christmas.  Sometimes in all the excitement of the day, nametags can be lost, but your gifts are greatly appreciated.

We want to welcome Mrs. Amy Migura to our staff.  She is a resource teacher for the teachers who will send students to her for reinforcement or challenge in a particular subject.  In just the short time she has been here, she has made a great impact.

Father Guadagnoli is in Rome, Italy.  I'm sure he has already enjoyed some delicious pasta.   Keep him in your prayers for a safe trip.

Ms. Volker

St. Joseph Parish Fundraiser

The Parish Fundraising Committee is hard at work raising funds for our new church and is hosting a fundraiser on February 9th.  They have requested the school donate a basket for this upcoming event.  We are asking each student to donate one dollar to help defray the cost.  Please send the money with your child to give to his or her teacher by Friday, January 18th.  Please call Maribeth May at 972-937-7557 for any questions.

Catholic Schools Week

Teen Movie Saturday at Sims Library is January 19th, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the library's Meeting Room.  This month's movie stars Paul Walker, Bruce Greenwood and Jason Biggs.  Inspired by a true story, this action adventure takes place in the extreme wilderness of Antarctica.  Three members of an expedition are forced to leave behind their beloved group of sled dogs, due to a sudden accident and perilous

weather conditions.  The expedition leader vows to return to rescue the brave and determined canines.  Come enjoy popcorn and a movie at the library.
