Dear Parents,
You are asked to remember in your prayers Ms. Elliott's uncle who died this past weekend.
Also keep in your prayers Ms. Tallett as she travels to New York tomorrow to sing at Carnegie Hall. What talent!!
Congratulations to Brian B. who is our Spelling Bee champion this year and also to Brittney F. who is the runner-up. Brian will represent the St. Joseph Catholic School at the Diocesan Spelling Bee this Wednesday at St. Patrick School in Dallas.
As you know, the stomach virus is upon us. For everyone's health, it is imperative that you do not send your darlings to school if they don't feel good nor if they wake up with a temperature. Those with a temp need 24 hours clearance before they return to school.
This Sunday is the opening for Catholic Schools Week. All school families are asked to attend the 10:30 Mass, and students are to be in their Mass uniform. The week's schedule of activities is included in the newsletter. We are looking forward to a great week. The theme this year is: Catholic Schools Light the Way.

St. Joseph Students at the Kimbell Art Museum
"What a nice group of students...
I wonder where they're from?"
"No, Mrs. Fitzgerald (docent),
Zach can't go home with you."
"Your knowledge of the True Cross amazes me."
These are just a few of the compliments that St. Joseph fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders received from the people at the Kimbell Art Museum. They traveled to Fort Worth on January 17th to view the Kimbell's "Picturing the Bible" exhibit. This exhibit features artifacts from early Christian art, such as a gold and silver reliquary from the Vatican.
In a formal and highly-controlled environment, our kids were models of decorum. Not only was their behavior exemplary, but their astute questions and comments wowed the docents who guided us through the exhibit.
We know our kids are wonderful.
Now, Fort Worth knows it!
Happy Birthday this week to …

Words of Wisdom
I slept
and dreamed that life was Joy.

and saw that life was Duty.
I acted
and behold, Duty was Joy.
