Dear Parents,
I want to thank all of you who participated in the 10:30 Mass on Sunday. Your darlings did a wonderful job in participating, singing, playing a musical instrument, reading and even providing a bit of laughter for everyone over Joseph, the cat.
Because this is Catholic Schools Week, it would be nice to send a simple thank you note to your darling's teacher to let her know how much you appreciate what she does for the class and for your darling. There's also the Work of Heart Award that would be even better. It really does not take much to write it up and send, fax or e-mail. You could do it while having a cup of coffee or whatever. The guidelines are enclosed.
The football squares for the Super Bowl are filled, and numbers given. If you don't pick them up, they will be sent home.
Thank you for being here and doing all you can to make this school grow and become even better.

Remember - ONE Dollar
Don't forget, February 9th is the date set by the Parish Fundraising Committee for the fundraising event for the new church. We are asking that each student donate one dollar to help defray the cost of the basket the school is donating for the function. Please send the money with your child to give to his or her teacher.
Your Phone Number - NEEDED!
If you have obtained a new phone number since last year or since the beginning of this school year, please advise the office of your new phone number as soon as possible. We can then make sure it is correct on our records.
STJS Sports
YMCA Softball and Soccer registration forms are now available in the school office. Registration is $40 for St. Joseph students, and all checks must be made payable to St. Joseph School and turned in to the school office. Please contact Isaac Martinez at 972-921-4657 if you have any questions, or call the school office.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT NEWS
Recorders
The recorders for grades 2 - 4 have arrived, and the cost is $5. If you need to purchase one, please turn the money in to the school office.
Trumpet Workshop
The Trumpet Workshop will be held this Friday, February 1st,
from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. at the school. Please bring your instrument, your book and your music.
School Choir to Sing
The school choir will be singing at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, February 17th.
Band Tuition
Band Tuition - $65.00 - is due at the beginning of each month.
Bishop Dunne CD
The Bishop Dunne Drumline CD recordings are now available for $10. If you wish to purchase one, contact Ms. Tallett.
