Dear Parents,
I want to bring you up to date concerning the diocesan spelling bee. Brian B. was the winner of our school spelling bee, but became sick the day of the diocesan bee. The runner-up, Brittney F., represented our school, and did the best yet. Brittney went down on the 16th round out of 33 rounds. We are very proud of her, and thank her for her great effort.
Starting Tuesday of next week we will conduct the yearly eyes and hearing tests for the students. Notices will be sent home with those students who might need further testing.
Since tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent, the students will go to the 8:00 Mass. Each Friday during Lent we will have the Stations of the Cross at 2:15 in church. With Lent starting, this could be a very special time for more emphasis on family prayer.
Registration packets for next year are coming home today. It's hard to believe we are planning for next year already. This year is going so quickly. If you have any questions about it, please feel free to call.

Balloon-o-Gram Time!
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered for the Balloon-o-grams. We still need more volunteers for February 13th and 14th at 8:00 a.m. Call Daniel Martinez at 972-921-4656 if you can help. Hopefully, with lots of volunteers, we can knock this out quickly.
It is not too late to turn in Balloon-o-gram forms. There are plenty of extra forms in the Information Center across from the school office.
