Dear Parents,

Happy Spring!  It looks like we might have some of the spring weather this week.

We want to congratulate Linda Reyna for receiving the Work of Heart Award the Thursday before we left for break.  It was covered in the local paper.  This is Mrs. Reyna's 13th year serving St. Joseph School.  Congratulations, Mrs. Reyna !!

Mrs. Boykin's mother died on March 18th.  She was 93 years young and lived a great life.  Please remember Mrs. Boykin, her mother and family in your prayers.

The 5th grade leaves this morning for Pines Camp, an outdoor educational camp for all the schools and churches in the diocese.  Keep them in your prayers for a safe and fun trip.

THE SPRING BOOK FAIR IS HERE FOR THIS WEEK.  It will be a good time to purchase books for the summer reading.

This coming Sunday, March 31st, the second grade will be receiving their First Communion at the 10:30 Mass.  Congratulations, First Communicants!

SINCE THE TUITION DUE DATE FOR MARCH OCCURRED DURING SPRING BREAK, TUITION MAY BE PAID TODAY WITHOUT A LATE FEE.  TOMORROW, THE TUITION IS LATE!

Happy Spring!  Remember to pray as a family.

DESTINATION DREAM VACATION

The date for this year's Destination Dream Vacation dinner and drawing is set for Friday, May 2, 2008.  Room coordinators will be contacting all the parents with what is needed to make this second and final fundraiser of the year a grand success.

The tickets will be $50.00 per couple which includes food, spirits, DJ and dancing, plus a chance to win a $5,000 dream vacation to the destination of your choice.  Just a small number of tickets will be sold, so we all have a great chance to win summer vacation.

Babysitting will be available in the school cafeteria, and different shifts of

30 - 45 minutes will be available for all parents, so we can have a chance not only to attend but also to rack up a few volunteer hours.  More news will be coming from your room coordinators.

Decorations Needed

If any of our parents have decorations that they would lend or donate for Destination Dream Vacation, please contact Laura Mottla at 972-938-2463.   Decorations pertaining to China, Mexico, Ireland, Italy, Las Vegas and others are needed.

Donations Needed

During the evening of Destination Dream Vacation, there will be several raffles.  If you have anything you would donate for the raffles, please contact Maribeth May at 972-937-7557.  Several people have already donated gift certificates and a vintage, handmade quilt dating back to the late 1800s.  We are looking for things like a children's bike, barbecue utensils and grill, art, gardening tools and flowers.  The list can go on and on.  Think about what you may have or want to donate, and get two, three or five volunteer hours credited for your donation.

Happy Birthday this week to …
