Preschool students, ages 3 and 4, learn through PLAY. Teachers structure cross-curricular lessons based on developmentally appropriate activities while keeping Christ at the center of all lessons. Students enjoy circle time together and learn while expressing themselves through centers where they can work with the teacher, independently, or in small groups. Centers include alphabet practice, reading, writing, handwriting, drawing, painting, puzzles, play-dough, dramatic play, sensory, science, math, shapes, and building Center time gives students the time to grow in their social skills, extend learning concepts, and develop gross and fine motor skills as well as giving students chances to practice solving problems. Preschool also grows and tends an all-organic garden. It is not only great for extending lessons but helps little hands with fine and gross motor skills.
