Tuition & Financial Aid
An Investment in Your Child’s Education
At Saint Joseph Catholic School, tuition supports more than academics. It reflects small class sizes, dedicated teachers, faith-based formation, and a supportive school community focused on the whole child.
Many families are surprised to learn that our Pre-K tuition is often comparable to—or less than—local daycare options, especially when considering academics, structure, and aftercare availability. We encourage families to explore all options and reach out with questions.

Tuition Assistance
We never want finances to be the reason a family doesn’t explore SJCS. Tuition assistance and scholarships are available, and we encourage families to reach out and learn more about their options.
Financial aid is provided to families on a need basis as determined by FACTS Grant and Aid and as funds are available. Financial Aid applications will only be reviewed after a student has received an official letter of acceptance from St. Joseph Catholic School.
To begin your application for Tuition Assistance please visit the FACTS Financial Aid portal through your Renweb login.
St. Joseph Catholic School recognizes that finances play a significant role in your decision to enroll your child in a Catholic school. Families should not be discouraged from applying to St. Joseph for financial reasons.

ACE SCHOLARSHIPS – K TO 12TH GRADE – NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS
ACE Scholarships provide additional assistance to low-income families in eligible private schools with students in kindergarten through 12th grade in thirteen U.S. states. In order for a family to apply, the school must have received approval from ACE and completed a 2025-26 ACE School Partnership Agreement.
The 2025-26 ACE Scholarships application for new and returning students will open on Monday, February 3, 2025. Applications will close on Tax Day (April 15, 2025) at 11:59 p.m. in the school’s time zone. Information can be found at: acescholarships.org.
ACE Scholarships use a different FACTS link. Beginning last year, parents will need to apply on a separate ACE FACTS link (not the same as the Diocese/Schools link). However, parents who applied on FACTS in 2025-26 will not need to pay the $45 fee again, as long as they have already applied for Diocesan financial aid and use their existing FACTS Grant & Aid login (do not create a new one). Detailed information, including updated income eligibility guidelines, will be provided in late January prior to the application opening. Additionally, important information for both parents and schools can be found in their Help Center.

The Jethsuby Foundation offers scholarships to Latino students who have at least one parent born outside of the United States and who are enrolled in or have applied to a Catholic elementary school in the Diocese of Dallas in grades 1 – 8. Nominations for the scholarship are handled through the principal’s office at each school and are based on academic performance, character, and participation in school activities. The Jethsuby scholarship application period began January 1, 2025 and ends the last Friday in February (February 28, 2025). Families must reapply annually at both FACTS Grant & Aid (online.factsmgt.com/aid) and the Jethsuby website (jethsuby.org/EN/index.aspx). Website also available in Spanish. The State of Texas has created the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program, which may provide additional educational funding options for families interested in private school. Details are still evolving, and SJCS is continuing to monitor how the program will work and what it might mean for families. We encourage you to contact Admissions with any questions as updated guidance becomes available.
New Student Referral Credit
At St. Joseph Catholic School, our families are our greatest ambassadors. When you refer a new family to our school, you’re helping us grow a strong, faith-filled community, and we want to thank you for it!
Here’s how it works:
When a family you refer enrolls at SJCS, you’ll receive a $250 tuition credit in October (or one month after their start date if they enroll mid-year).
If the new family remains enrolled through the school year, you’ll receive an additional $250 credit in May.
Families who’ve already paid tuition in full will receive an incentive equal to the credit amount.
To qualify:
The referred student must be new to SJCS (no siblings currently or previously enrolled).
The referral must be acknowledged during the family’s initial contact with the school, and the referral form must be submitted at registration.
Each SJCS family may earn up to two referral credits per school year.
Help us welcome more families to experience the difference at St. Joseph Catholic School! Download our Referral Form Here.
Catholic Life Insurance Raffle
Catholic Life Insurance provides the customized tickets and all marketing materials at absolutely no cost to the school. This saves our school countless man hours and more time for family! Students/families sell tickets for $5.00 each. 100% of the sale of every ticket goes directly and IMMEDIATELY into our school.
Ticket sales run from September- January.
The winning tickets will be drawn in February each year in San Antonio, Texas at the Catholic Life Insurance home office. A representative from Catholic Life will contact the winners by phone or email.
To meet our financial needs throughout the school year, all families are required to participate in the Catholic Life Raffle. This fundraiser runs from September-January. If families choose to pay for the tickets themselves (without selling), payments may be made in five equal monthly installments payable October-February. Tickets are due end of January.
Each family is required to sell tickets as follows:
1st student 150 tickets, $750
2nd student 100 tickets, $500
3rd student 50 tickets $200 dollars
Choosing a school is a big decision. We’d love to welcome you to campus so you can experience SJCS and see if it feels like the right fit for your family.
