President’s Welcome Letter
At St. Joseph Catholic School, we believe education is a partnership between families, faculty, and faith. As President, I am proud to support our mission of forming students who are confident, compassionate, and prepared for the path ahead—both academically and spiritually.
Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family makes. We are honored you're considering SJCS and invite you to visit our campus, meet our wonderful staff, and experience the joy and energy that fills our halls.
We look forward to welcoming you into the SJCS family.
With gratitude,

Discover the SJCS Difference
-
Opportunities in leadership, service, and faith formation shape students into confident, compassionate leaders.
-
A nurturing, secure environment where students feel loved and supported every day.
-
We see parents as the primary educators and work hand-in-hand to help children flourish.
At St. Joseph Catholic School, students are more than just learners; they’re known, loved, and guided to grow in both faith and purpose.
Our educators partner with families to create a joyful, structured environment where academic excellence, Catholic values, and real-world readiness come together. From morning prayer to meaningful service, every moment at SJCS is rooted in our belief that learning should be personal, purposeful, and led by faith.
Our Story
St. Joseph Catholic School began as an educational facility dedicated in 1973 by St. Joseph Catholic Church. As the Catholic community of St. Joseph Parish steadily grew throughout the 20th century, so did the vision to provide a strong Catholic education for children in Waxahachie and the surrounding area. In 1992, this dream became a reality with the opening of St. Joseph Catholic School, offering families a place where faith and academic excellence could grow hand in hand.
Since its founding, the school has been an extension of the parish’s mission to form young disciples grounded in Catholic values, service, and love of learning. The close-knit community of St. Joseph Parish continues to support the school’s mission, ensuring each child is nurtured spiritually, academically, and personally. What began with a handful of students and teachers has grown into a vibrant PreK3-8th grade school rooted in tradition, excellence, and joyful community.
Today, SJCS continues to serve as a spiritual and academic home for families across Ellis County, where faith is active, learning is personal, and every child is known.
